The Little Elkhart River and acres of forest and wetlands create excellent recreation and environmental themed opportunities, such as public and school programs and the Town’s Summer Fun Program. This natural park setting provides an array of opportunities for bird watching, outdoors sports, picnicking, fishing and hiking with 1 mile of trails. Facilities include a pavilion, nature themed playground, basketball court, sand volleyball courts, soccer nets, gaga pit, and fishing pier. Acres: 45

The trails in Riverbend are open year-round and are just as beautiful in winter as in summer.  Trail Tales is also a feature of this park.  Each month the Middlebury Community Library provides a children's storybook which is displayed in the 25 stations that line the trail starting from the parking lot and returning readers to the playground area as they finish the story.

Riverbend is the site of the annual Riverfest which takes place at the end of August each year.  Check our Facebook page for more events added throughout the year.
