Ridge Run Trail

Ridge Run Trail is a 1.4 mile trail that connects to the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail and Wayne Street Trail making a 5K loop. It was named Ridge Run trail recognizing Northridge Schools and that it provides an ideal place for athletes in training. This was a Friends of the Middlebury Parks project in partnership with Middlebury Park and Recreation Department, Das Dutchman Essenhaus, Middlebury Community Schools and Middlebury Greencroft Retirement Community. It was funded through grants and donations from over 100 individuals, businesses and organizations.
For several years, the Friends of the Middlebury Parks conducted Trails Fest, an annual event raising funds for trail construction. On completion in 2017 the Friends of the Parks turned the trail over to the Middlebury Park and Recreation Department for ongoing maintenance.
