Middlebury Pumpkinvine Trail

Bikers
The Middlebury Greenway on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is a multi-use, pedestrian trail and our newest linear park.  The Greenway is located along the old Pumpkinvine Railroad from the tunnel under US Highway 20, through town, by the Krider World's Fair Garden Park, and ending at York Drive.
Trail
The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail is built on the old Pumpkinvine Railroad corridor.  It covers more than 17 miles between the City of Goshen and the Towns of Middlebury and Shipshewana.  The railroad line between Goshen and Middlebury was a popular passenger route at the turn of the 20th century and its numerous curves and turns led to its nickname after the rambling pumpkinvine.

A special section along the Greenway is the Learning Corridor.  The Learning Corridor runs along the Greenway from the Little Elkhart River to Wayne Avenue.  Download the Learning Corridor Brochure for a description of this unique feature along the Greenway.
